Miss Lessia Diane Hardin, 42, died Monday, March 16, 2009, in a Folkston, Ga., hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Brewton and a long-time resident of Castleberry, before moving to Georgia eight years ago. She was a staff worker at the Folkston Rehabilitation Center and was a member of the Castleberry Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Sybil Hardin.
She is survived by her father, Larry (Terri) Hardin of Waycross, Ga.; a brother, Dewayne (Kim) Hardin of Evergreen; two sisters, Kelli (Collin) Elch of Atlanta, Ga., and Halie (Michael) Black of Waycross, Ga.; three aunts and uncles, Carolyn (Bob) Fleming of Mobile, Linda (Bruce) Daniels of Saudi Arabia, and Janice Hardin of Gulf Shores.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at the Castleberry Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
