Editor’s note: The following letter was submitted as an open letter to Danny Cottrell, owner of Medical Center Pharmacy in Brewton.
To Danny,
We realize that you could have taken all of those $2 bills and spent them in Brewton yourself. Certainly you and Karen could have bought enough furniture, clothing, jewelry, food, etc., in Brewton with those $2 bill to generate some attention. In other words, you didn’t have to share with us in order to accomplish your mission.
We may not always be the best employees and we may not always admit it, but you are truly the best boss in the world. We honestly feel like members of your family and we feel that you care about each of us as a person as well as an employee.
You have the biggest, kindest, most giving heart of anyone and it is a privilege to be associated with you. What an example you have set. What if some of the huge companies in our country would follow your lead, including the 15 percent donation to charity?
Please don’t forget us when you become even more famous and are a familiar face on the television screen and travel the world making motivational speeches ad sharing your country boy wisdom.
What’s next? Maybe the movies?
So, from the bottom of our hearts to the guy with the biggest heart in the world, we say thank you and we love you.
