Ms. Dianne Pitts, 63, died Friday, March 13, 2009. She was a native and long time resident of Evergreen. She attended Conecuh County Training School and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was employed as house keeping supervisor at the Evergreen Holiday Inn for more than 26 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annice Fountain and Eddie Pitts; and a brother, Raymond Fountain.
She is survived by a son, Melvin (Dorothy) Pitts of Rockville, Md.; a sister, Jane Johnson of Evergreen; two brothers, Charles (June) Fountain of Birmingham and Gregory (Shirley) Fountain of Jackson; two grandchildren, Melvin Pitts Jr. and Lakesia Pitts of Rockville, Md.; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Evergreen with Pastor Keneth W. Kidd officiating. Burial followed at Jordan Memorial Garden in Evergreen with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
