Teddy Lee “Buddy” Johnson, 73, died Sunday, March 22, 2009, in Flomaton. He was a native of Brewton and a resident of Flomaton for the past 42 years. He was retired from CCA after 37 years of service and attended the Methodist church. He was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Lavon Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maxine Johnson of Flomaton; his daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Bell of Flomaton; two grandchildren, Allen Bell and Aaron Bell, both of Flomaton; and two sisters, Jessie Godwin and Christine Evans, both of Brewton;
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 25, at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas E. Mason Jr. and the Rev. Brian Garrett officiating. Burial followed at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Steve Stanton, Larry White, Mikey Burkett, Ronald Coburn, Jason Hart and David Adams.
