Lady Tigers down Devils|Anderson tosses second no-hitter in as many games

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team improved to 10-2 Monday with an 11-0 win over Escambia County of Atmore.
Lady Tiger pitcher Miranda Anderson pitched a no-hitter for T.R. Miller in the win.
Anderson allowed no hits, walked one and struck out six in the five inning complete game.
The no-hitter was the second for Anderson in as many games and was just one play away from a perfect game.
Anderson issued a walk in the first inning on Monday to negate the perfect game. Along with the second no-hitter in as many games, Anderson just missed a perfect game against J.U. Blacksher earlier as a Lady Tiger error ended the perfect game.
The Lady Tigers scored one run in the first inning, six in the second inning and four in the fourth inning to get the 11-run win.
Janel McCorvey was 2-for-3 for the Lady Tigers with an inside-the-park homerun.
Brandi Kennedy was 1-for-1 with two RBIs and a double and Natalie Neal was 1-for-2 with an RBI in the win.
Taylor Guthrie was 1-for-3 with one RBI and Leah Brundidge was 2-for-3 with a single, a double and one RBI.
Sara Lee was 1-for-3 with a double in the win over Atmore.
Flomaton 6, T.R. Miller 3
Flomaton dropped the Lady Tigers to 8-2 with a 6-3 win over T.R. Miller.
T.R. Miller was held to just three runs in the fourth inning while Flomaton scored four in the fourth inning and added two in the fifth inning.
Kennedy was 1-for-3 in the loss along with Neal, Guthrie, and Waters who were all 1-for-3.
T.R. Miller 3, J.U. Blacksher 0
After dropping their second game of the year to Flomaton, T.R. Miller responded with a 3-0 win over J.U. Blacksher.
Anderson picked up the win and the no-hitter against the Lady Bulldogs as they improved to 9-2 with the win.
T.R. Miller scored all their runs in the second inning and held J.U. Blacksher scoreless to get the win.
Neal was 1-for-3 in the win and Kennedy was 2-for-2 at the plate for the Lady Tigers.
T.R. Miller was set to travel to Bayside Academy for an area game on Tuesday in Daphne.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Thursday at home against W.S. Neal in a special game.
Fans are asked to wear pink to the game as the Lady Tigers will wear pink jerseys for Realy for Life.
Game time is set for 4 p.m. at the YMCA Sports Park and then will travel to Cottage Hill for an area game on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
TRM JV 12, W.S. Neal Middle School 1
The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger JV team pounded the W.S. Neal Middle School softball team 12-1 Monday in East Brewton.
The win improved T.R. Miller to 3-1 this season.
Both teams were tied at 1-1 at the end of the first inning, but T.R. Miller scored four runs in the second inning, one in the third inning and six in the fourth inning to win by 11 in four innings.
Laurel Billy picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Tigers. Billy allowed one hit while walking four and striking out four in the win.
Kadejah Palmore, Audrey Hamric and Kristin Booker all had two hits each in the win.
