Super 6 moves from Birmingham
If T.R. Miller and/or W.S. Neal’s football team were to make the state championship game in football this season, fans should not be looking forward to a trip to Birmingham.
According to a press release for the Alabama High School Athletic Association Wednesday, the Super 6 state football championship games will no longer be played in Birmingham.
Beginning with the 2009 games, the Super 6 will be played in Tuscaloosa at Bryant-Denny Stadium and in Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The games will be on a rotating basis through 2014. Games in 2009 will be played in Tuscaloosa.
