Mr. Harry Hill, 76, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in a Pensacola, Fla., nursing facility after a brief illness. He was a native of Rexburg, Idaho, a long time resident of Albuquerque, N.M., and a former resident of East Brewton before moving to Brewton in 1998. He was a member of Brewton First United Methodist Church, graduated from BYU with a CPA degree, and retired from the Department of Energy, U.S. Government with 45 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Hill of Brewton; a son, Michael Hill of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Wendy Hill of New Mexico, and Jennifer (John) Reeve of Indiana; two step-daughters, Carol (Joe) Gordy and Jan (Don) Grosso, both of Brewton; four sisters, Karen Smith, Colleen Winn and Dorothy Rutledge, all of Idaho, and Joyce Denning of Oregon; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Reeve, Samantha Reeve and Nathan Reeve; three step-grandchildren, Kelly (Jake) Billingsley, Taylor Grosso and John Grosso; and one great-great-grandchild, Ollie Billingsley.
Graveside funeral services were held Friday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at Union Cemetery with Dr. Ed Glaize officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
