Mrs. JoAnn Clary Polnak, 63, of Schad Street, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Pace, Fla., and a former resident of Bonifay, Fla., before moving to East Brewton. She was of the Protestant faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by two children, James Edwin Brewer of Idaho, and Kathy Ann San Martin of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Joe Clary and Johnny Clary, both of Milton, Fla., and Billy Clary of Theodore; five sisters, Ellen Sumner of Brewton, Fran Farmer of Pace, Fla., Pauline Riddle of Fort Myers, Fla., Betty Ann Howard of Denver Col., and Carolyn Clary of Shasta Lake, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at Hickory Hammock Cemetery in Milton, with the Rev. Dorman Owens officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
