Mr. Robert Hagood Wiggins, 64, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, in a Santa Rosa County hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Conecuh County, and a long time resident of Brewton. He was a member of Flomaton Free Will Baptist Church and a retired driller with the oil industry.
He is survived by his wife, Lazzett Wyatt Wiggins of Brewton; two sons, Vance (Gwen) Wiggins and Lance (Jewell Eulene), both of Brewton; six sisters, Mildred White of Bay Minette, Alice Faye Wheeler of Evergreen, Gennie Neson of Bonifay, Fla., Willette Mitchem of Milton, Fla., and Tammy Griswold of Jay, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Dot Wiggins; four grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Henry officiating. Burial followed at Antioch Church Cemetery in Conecuh County with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
