After taking off for spring break, the Red Sox, Cubs and Yankees all picked up wins Monday night in games for the East Brewton Little League.
The Red Sox defeated the A’s 13-7 and the Cubs defeated Flomaton One 11-10 in 9-and 10-year-old action. The Cardinals lost 12-3 to Flomaton Two.
In the 11-and 12-year-old age groups, the Yankees picked up a 7-0 win over Flomaton.
Flomaton Two 12, Cardinals 3
The East Brewton Little League Cardinals dropped a 12-3 loss Monday night to Flomaton Two.
Flomaton Two had four hits in the game to the Cardinals two.
Jacoby Hawthorne and Quinn Riley pitched in the loss for the Cardinals. Hawthorne allowed one hit and six runs while walking four and striking out none.
Riley allowed six runs on three hits, walked seven and struck out five in the loss.
Riley was 1-for-1 at the plate and Tyler Williams was also 1-for-1 for the Cardinals.
Jeremy Sims, Hawthorne and Adams Jerkins all scored a run each for the Cardinals.
Hannah Fillmore was 2-for-2 for Flomaton and Hayden Hammond was 2-for-3.
Conner White and Fillmore pitched in the win for Flomaton.
The Cardinals had two errors in the loss.
Red Sox 13, A’s 7
Even though they were out-hit by one at three hits to four, the Red Sox picked up a 13-7 win over the A’s.
The Red Sox scored 13 runs on three hits while the A’s scored seven on four.
Blake McGraw, Conner Husky and Brandon Moye all pitched in the win for the Red Sox.
McGraw allowed two runs on one hit and struck out four.
Husky allowed three runs on no hits, walked two and struck out none.
Moye allowed two runs on three hits and struck out two.
Moye was 1-for-2 for the Red Sox along with Husky.
McGraw was 1-for-1 with a double.
Treavor Williams scored three runs in the win along with McGraw and Moye scored twice.
For the A’s, Keith Barksdale and Duane Hamby pitched in the loss. Barksdale allowed eight runs on three hits, walked 10 and struck out one.
Hamby allowed five runs and walked eight and struck out two.
Harley Fuqua was 2-for-2 and Hamby was 1-for-3 in the loss.
Matt Hutchins was 1-for-2 at the plate.
Cubs 11, Flomaton One 10
The Cubs edged Flomaton One 11-10 Monday night to pick up a win.
Charlie Land, Weston Riddle and Trey English all pitched in the win. Land allowed three runs on one hit, walked two and struck out none.
Riddle allowed two hits, five runs, walked four and struck out four and English allowed two runs, two walks and struck out three.
TyShawn Davis was 1-for-2 at the plate with a triple for the Cubs and English was 1-for-2.
Ryley Fore was 1-for-3 and Land was 1-for-1.
Austin Majors was 1-for-2 for Flomaton along with Justin Clary.
Yankees 7, Flomaton 0
Justin Sessions and Lane Chavers combined for a shutout against Flomaton Monday night as the Yankees picked up a 7-0 win.
Sessions allowed one hit and walked four and struck out three and Chavers allowed two hits and struck out six.
Tyler Joyner was 2-for-3 with a double and Miles Powell was 2-for-3 with two singles.
Alex O’Keane was a perfect 3-for-3 and Brad Robinson was 2-for-2 with a double.
Colton Young was 1-for-2.
