Mr. E.J. Bush Sr., 97, died Friday, April 17, 2009, in a Brewton healthcare facility. He was a carpenter by trade and retired from Hines Realty. He attended Lambeth Holiness Church for over 50 years and is preceded in death by his wife of almost 66 years, Vader L. Bush and an infant son, Joseph Michael Bush.
He is survived by three sons, Jimmie (JoAnn) Bush of Flomaton, R.J. (Debbie) Bush of Brewton, and Johnny R. Bush of Cantonment, Fla.; four daughters, Lanell (Randall) Parks of Daphne, Margie (Jack) Valenty of San Diego, Calif., Elaine (Joe Max) Linzy of Jay, Fla. and Linda Jackson of Brewton; a sister, Marie Hall of Tallassee; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Raines and the Rev. Wilber Graves officiating. Burial followed at Lambeth Cemetery in Flomaton with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Marcus Bush, Jody Parks, Michael Bush, Greg Bush, Steven Linzy, Scott Bush, John Parks, David Bush and Jody Linzy.
