Mrs. Rita Evon Grantham Teas, 56, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Brewton and a long time resident of Crestview. She was a member of Assembly of God Church of Niceville, Fla., and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Grantham, a brother, Randy Grantham and a nephew, Kevin Grantham.
She is survived by her mother, Jackie Grantham of East Brewton; her husband, Tim Teas of Crestview; a son, Jesse Teas of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Mandy (Jason) Chopp of Nashville, Tenn., and Tammy Ogletree of Niceville; a brother, Rudy (Betty) Grantham of Lake Village, Ark.; four grandchildren, Cheynne McKinney, Keira Chopp, Aiden Chopp and Megan Wigton; and a nephew, Kenneth Grantham.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 23, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Boyce Teas and the Rev. Alan Armstrong officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
