Mr. Lelland Gerald Stacey, 74, died Sunday, April 26, 2009. He was a native of Range and a resident of Stapleton. He was a retired self-employed truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha B. Stacey of Stapleton; his children, Gwendolyn S. (Allan) Vann-Horn of Pensacola, Fla., Timothy G. (Christina) Stacey and Angela G. Stacey, both of Stapleton; and four grandchildren, Kreston C. Corley, Breanna L. Paul, Sarah N. Stacey and Benjamin G. Stacey.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at Grace Fellowship Church with the Rev. Ray Johnson and the Rev. Ralph Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper’s Cemetery in Appleton at 1 p.m. with Norris Funeral Home of Bay Minette directing. Pallbearers will be the Rev. Terry Blair, the Rev. Michael Blair, Timothy Stacey, James Graham, Darwin Earls and Joshua Gordon.
