Mrs. Lillian Mashara Culliver McMillan, 55, died Monday, April 27, 2009. She was a native and resident of Brewton. She was educated at Southern Normal School and T.R. Miller High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Culliver and a brother, Jerry Culliver.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Freddie James McMillan Sr.; two sons, Freddie J. (Marisa) McMillan Jr. of Omaha, Neb., and Kevin (Jennifer) McMillan of Jacksonville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Xavier and Jasia; her mother, Pauline Culliver of Brewton; three sisters, Hazel (John) Fuller of Detroit, Mich., Lore Jones of Mobile, Ruby (Ronnie) Williams of Omaha; two brothers, Michael (Ann) Culliver of Atlanta, Ga. and Mitchell (Janice) of Orlando, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Eula Culliver of Brewton; three aunts, Minnie Lee Culliver Reed of Fairhope, Irene Culliver of Pensacola, and Margaret Culliver of Brewton; an uncle, Franklin Bonam; a mother-in-law, Maggie McMillian of Brweton; two brothers-in-law, Roderick McMillan of Newnan, Ga., and William McMIllan of Atlanta; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn McMillan, Autherine (Robin) Davis, and Vanessa (David) Kyles, all of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at Zion Fountain AME Zion Church with the Rev. H.K. Matthews and the Rev. Charles Washington Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Springhill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
