Twins and Red Sox take wins in BLL

He helped his own cause at the plate with a double, two RBIs and scored twice. Keaton Parker tripled and scored twice for the Twins, while both Duncan Brittain and Noah Morris each added hits and a run scored apiece.
A’s (1-3) had overcome an early 1-0 deficit to take a 2-1 lead after three innings, but the Twins put it away with five runs over the final three innings.
Trin Miller led the A’s effort with a pair of hits and two runs scored, while both Todd Mayo and Brooks Brown had singles.
TUESDAY GAME: RED SOX 12, EB CUBS 5
In a 9-10 interleague game at East Brewton, the Red Sox remained unbeaten by overcoming an early 4-2 Cubs lead with a 7-run third inning to put it away.
Both Lane Clark and Tyler Baxter had two hits for the winners.
One of Clark’s hits was an inside-the-park home run, while Tyler had a pair of singles that produced three RBIs.
Caleb Winton, who moved to 2-0 as a pitcher, struck out five and gave up five hits, while walking just one.
Baxter closed the game in the final inning by registering three strikeouts.
Caleb Winton added a bases-clearing triple in that deciding third inning.
For the Cubs Tyshawn Davis was 3-for-3 with a home run, triple and three RBIs, while Weston Riddle added two hits.
TRM to host area softball tourney
T.R. Miller will play host to the class 3A area tourrnament on Tuesday, May 5, at the Brewton YMCA Sports Park. 
Admission is $6. Game times will begin at 3:30 p.m.
The softball tournament is now single elimination with the winners playing each other at 5 p.m.
