JDCC still hot

After having their game at the state tournament delayed two days due to rain, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball team picked up their 13th straight win with a 10-5 win over Calhoun Monday.
The Warhawks used a six-run fifth inning after trailing 2-0 early  to key the five-run win as they improved to 28-19 overall.
JDCC was set to play Shelton State at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the state tournament.
Results from those games were not available as of press time.
JDCC’s Cody Sanderson was 3-for-5 in the win with four RBIs and a homerun and a double.
Ryne Phillips added a homerun and was 2-for-4 with two RBIS in the win and Ben Negus was 2-for-5 with three RBIs.
.Shane Ikner picked up the win for the JDCC. Ikner went 3 2/3 inning allowed two runs on five hits, walking three and striking out five.
Hunter Brown went one inning allowing two runs, one hit, one walk and striking out none.
Blake Long was 1-for-6 and Terry McClain was 1-for-1 in the win at the plate.
Cody Turner was 3-for-5 and C.J. Moorer was 2-for-5.
Ben Blodgett was 1-for-5 and Hunter Norris was 1-for-4 with one RBI.
C.J. Lindsey was 1-for-4 in the win.
