Mr. Charles Raymond Graves Sr., 76, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009. He was a lifelong resident of Escambia County and during his working years, he was a machinist at G & E Machine Shop. He was of the protestant faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Elvera Violet Graves.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Raymond (Sherry) Graves Jr. of Illinois, and Kevin Wayne (Donna) Graves of Brewton; a brother, Rayford (Katherine) Graves of Castleberry; six sisters, Judy (Ron) Moncrief, Bertie (Joe) Grizziffi, Judy (Charles) Broadhead and Karen Quinn, all of Pensacola, Fla., Patricia Rovoi of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Betty Johnson and Bama (Memphis) Riddle of Brewton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23, at 3 p.m. at Graver’s Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Keith Johnson, Cody Grantham, Greg Hinote, Luke Mitchell, William Mitchell and Tommy Kennedy.
