Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. voting polls will open across the area with two names on the ballot.
Although voting for one office may seem like too much trouble for some people, it is a responsibility for those who want their voices to be heard in Montgomery and in the nation.
Two men are vying for a position  left vacant with the unexpected death Senator Pat Lindsey last year.
Greg Albritton is running on the republican ticket while Mark Keahey is the democratic candidate in the race.
Voting republican or democrat is not really the issue this week. The issue is to make certain that your voice is heard from Escambia County to Montgomery.
This election will provide an avenue for the residents in this district to express their concerns and opinions on what matters most. We hope the candidates are ready to be the ones who take those concerns and opinions to the state capital and make a difference for the people they will serve.
We encourage every voter to study the candidates for the office and carefully consider those choices.
It is our responsibility as citizens of this city, county, state and nation to let our voices be heard and let the votes speak for the people.
Find a way to get to the poll this Tuesday. If you plan to go, ask a neighbor if they need a ride. If you need a ride, ask for one. We are all in this together. Let us stand as one Tuesday.
