Mr. James Franklin Sundy Sr., 70, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, after an extended illness. He was a barber for many years and retired from Container Corporation with 44 years of service. He was also a preacher at Hoomesville Church of Christ for the past several years.
He was preceded in death by his only son, Jimmy Sundy; his dad, Century Sundy; his mother, Ethel Harwell Sundy; and a sister, Mildred Carey.
Graveside funeral services were held on Friday, June 5, at 2 p.m. at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Brother Jerry Brantley, and Brother Danny Barron officiating and Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
