Love tennis — or just want to learn to play? Paul Smith has an opportunity for you.
For the rest of the month, the T.R. Miller tennis coach and others involved in the program will be providing a week of instruction followed by three weeks of team competition at the T.R. Miller tennis courts.
Smith said he is encouraging participation by “lovers of tennis, legends, wannabes, parents and team players.”
The instructional week begins Monday, with lessons continuing on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Lessons will last from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The team competition will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 16-July 2. Doubles matches begin at 7 p.m.
The fee for lessons and instruction is $15 and a can of tennis balls for the week, Smith said. The fee for teams is $60 per team.
Registration for the instructional week is Monday and Tuesday. Team registration will be Monday through Friday.
For information or to register, contact Smith at 251-363-8855.
All proceeds go to support T.R. Miller athletics, Smith said.
