Mrs. Mary Louise Waters, 85, died Friday, June 12, 2009, in an Atmore hospital. She was a native of Flomaton and had been a resident of Gulf Shores prior to returning to the Flomaton area in 1988. She had been living in Brewton for the past few months. She was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the medical corps. She had been employed as a private nurse during her working years. She was a member of Poplar Dell Baptist Church and the American Legion.
She is survived by close friends, Ida Bell, Floyd and Linda Hagan; and a number of cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Herring and the Rev. Thomas “BoBo” Bell officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
