Mrs. Ruby Velma Waller, 89, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at her Brewton residence. She was a native of Lenox, and had been a resident of the Brewton area for the past 25 years, coming from Flomaton. She was a homemaker and a member of Flomaton Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Narvie Waller; two daughters, Betty Joyce Waller and Bonnie Jean Smith; and a son, Jerry Kenneth Waller.
She is survived by six sons, Gary (Ruby Faye) Waller and Guy Lloyd (Virginia) Waller, both of Brewton, Larry Wayne (Anita) Waller of Huntsville, David Waller of Flomaton, Bobby Ray (Atha) Waller of Bratt, and Aubrey Waller Jr. of Haleyville; a brother, Author Rowland of Mobile; a sister, Grace Rhew of Ashville, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Brother Howard Henry officiating. Burial followed at Hartwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scottie Waller Jr., Brandon Burkett, Michael O’Den, Dustin Smith, John Hammac and Clyde Harris.
