Mr. Whitman Lamar Thorn, 23, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, in a hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Birmingham, and a long-time resident of Tennessee. He was of the Latter Day Saint faith.
He is survived by his mother, Dee Thorn of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter, Taylor Thorn of Tennessee; a brother, Christopher (Kim) Thorn of Watertown, Tenn.; a sister, Lee (Brad) Summers of Watertown; a niece, Alyssa; a nephew, Jacob; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were held Thursday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Union Cemetery with family members officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
