Mrs. Gila Ann Harold, 52, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in a Pensacola medical facility after a brief illness. She was a native of Kittery, Maine, and a long time resident of Brewton. She attended North Brewton Baptist Church and was a retired accountant with the civil service for more than 25 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Belle Berryhill; her husband, Emile Harold; and her sister-in-law, Deborah Harold Graves.
She is survived by her father, William Berryhill of Montgomery; a brother, Steve Berryhill of Birmingham; two sisters, Diana Hudson of Wetumpka, and Kathy Hanks of Montgomery; her mother-in-law, Ethelene Harold of Brewton; seven nieces and nephews, Dana (David) Wingard, Nathan (Laura) Hanks, Patrick (Rose) Hanks, Taylor Berryhill, Olivia Berryhill, Leigh (Lew) Najor and Jamye (Josh) James; six great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, from 2 until 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
