Mr. Arthur Everett “Art” Lynn III, 43, died Sunday Aug. 9, 2009, in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Brewton and life long resident of East Brewton. He was a 1983 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and of Jefferson Davis Community College. He was an active member of East Brewton First Baptist Church and employed by Escambia County as executive director of USDA Farm Service Agency for 22 years.
He is survived by his parents, Art “Buddy” and Peggy Lynn of Brewton; his wife, Lynn Grubbs Lynn of East Brewton; a son, Arthur E. Maddox Lynn IV of East Brewton; two sisters, Kim Blackmon of Florala, and Donna (Perry Neal) Watson of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. at East Brewton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dugan and the Rev. Harold Morris officiating. Burial followed at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel Hill, Fla., with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
