After a “sluggish” first day of practice, the W.S. Neal Eagle football team improved throughout the week, head coach Kevin Jordan said.
Jordan said right now he and his coaches and team are still installing their playbook, but will focus on their preseason opponent Escambia County and first game opponent Monroe County later on closer to game time.
Next Thursday, Aug. 20, W.S. Neal will travel to Atmore to take on the Escambia County High School Blue Devils in a preseason game. The next Thursday, W.S. Neal will open their 2009 season on the road in Monroeville against the Monroe County High School Tigers.
Jordan said he wants to keep it like that until the week of the game, but they have already started looking at some of the things that their opponents have done in the past.
