With Tropical Storm Claudette approaching the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast, power crews with Alabama Power Company are preparing for possible power outages.
Senior Forecaster Don Shepherd with the National Weather Service out of Mobile has predicted sustained winds between 20 to 25 miles per hour with gusts between 40 and 50 miles per hour as the storm approaches and moves through the area. He said winds of that strength could cause numerous power outages with the possibility of the strong winds uprooting trees and blowing down power lines.
Below is contact information for reporting power outages:

Power company officials also remind residents to not approach or touch any down power lines.
