Girls physicals to take place at TRM
All female athletes are asked to attend T.R. Miller High School on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 6:30 p.m. for physicals for the 2009-2010 athletic season.
Andalusia to have bowling league
Boland Lanes in Andalusia will be offering a youth/adult bowling league on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.
The league will be a chance for the area youth and adults to spend some fun time together.

Softball tourney to play in Poarch
A co-ed softball tournament will be played on Friday, Aug. 21, in Poarch.
Entry  fee is $110 and must be paid prior to first game. Tournament will be double elimination if less than 10 teams and pool bracket if more than 10 teams. Play will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Fall baseball league planned for Brewton
The Brewton Little League is taking signups for its Fall Baseball League, which will begin September 1 at the YMCA Sports Park.
Cost for the league is $15. The Brewton Fall Baseball League is designed to help all players who will participate in Brewton Little League next spring; instruction is provided by Little League coaches and volunteers and is designed for each player to get personal instruction, repetition, encouragement and fun.
So, if a player will be in the 9-10 age division or the 11-12 age division next season, he is invited to be part of the Fall League.
