A Florida man was charged with DUI early Saturday after a one-car wreck on Alabama State 41 south of Brewton.
Alabama State Troopers said Trenton Castleberry, 20, of Jay, Fla., landed in the creek when his car hit a bridge and crashed through a guard rail just before 2 a.m. The accident happened at the five-mile marker south of Brewton.
Castleberry suffered minor injuries, troopers said, but he was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Castleberry was arrested and taken to the Escambia County Correctional Facility.
The Alabama Department of Transportation is looking into the damage on the bridge, troopers said.
