Mr. Raymond Francis Raines, 72, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009. He was preceded in death by brother, Bennie Raines and a sister, Voncille Merritt.
He is surivived by his wife, Lula D. Raines of McKenzie; his daughters,Sue Matthews,Teresa Raines and Bobbie Raines,all of McKenzie, and Wander Garcia, of Chandler, Texas; his sons, Raymond Raines of Odessa, Texas, and Cecil Raines of Pollard; his sisters, Brenda Jernigan of Brewton, Jeanette Powell of Castleberry, Diane Lee of Mobile, and Ernestine Barlow of McKenzie; her brothers, Allen Dewberry and Lawrence Dewberry, both of Castleberry; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. at Old Town Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Turman oficiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing.
