Mr. Eddie Lee “Cap” Lewis, Jr., 68, died Aug. 24, 2009. He was preceded in death by parents Eddie and Dollie Mae Lewis; a daughter, Gloria Jean Lacey; two brothers, Alfonzo Lewis and Willie James Lewis; and one sister, Vera Lewis. He was a member of the Christ Kingdom Ministry Center.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beatrice Lewis; one son, Maurice (Valeen) Lewis of McDavid, Fla.; one brother, Alfred Lewis Williams of Tuplo, Ga.; five sisters, Helen Lewis of New York, N.Y., Juanita Betts of Brewton, Lula (Frank) Shockley of Vancleave, Miss., Polly Rosemore of Pensacola, and Dollie (Robert Earl) Binion of Brewton; a loving granddaughter, Tawana Lacey of Lilburn, Ga,; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two god-daughters, Paula Jackson and Minnie Hubbard; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and pastor and friend, Elder Herman Bradley.
Services were held Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Kingdom Ministry Center with Pastor Herman Bradley officiating. Burial followed in the Second Bethlehem Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
