I felt compelled to write you a short but quick note.  I want to commend the city of Brewton for their recent addition of the Splash Pad at the Dogwood Hills Park.  My son and I went to the park to play at Rainbow Dragon and found the Splash Pad to be up and running.  It was his good fortune that we had planned to go to the pool after the park so he was able to go out and have a blast.
As a resident of Brewton I am very thankful that we have such nice facilities in our community to take our children to.  As I was there, countless others took advantage of this new attraction.  So as most mothers I took a picture of him playing via my cell phone and uploaded it to my Facebook profile.  Minutes later I received a comment from a high school friend who lives in Pell City, Alabama and she wanted to know where it was at because their family will be coming in next weekend to see grandparents in Jay. What a great success story for Brewton and their new addition.
I might add, the day before I received a message on Facebook from someone who was in Brewton for a football game on Saturday.  They also commented on how nice Brewton was and how attractive the streets and community was.  So many want to discourage and complain about different things but these are two very positive comments that I felt like needed to be voiced.  Although I did not grow up in Brewton I am very proud to raise my son in this community and wanted to personally Thank everyone who was involved with bringing the Splash Pad to our community and the many people who take extra time and care to make their yards and our community a more attractive place.
