For the heroes|Flag ceremony recalls Sept. 11

A time to remember and honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 was observed Friday at Union Cemetery.
Mayor Ted Jennings addressed those in attendance and spoke of the significance of the flag being placed at the cemetery.
Maria Davis with Woodmen of the World spoke about the organization’s love and pride in the nation.
The ceremony followed with the raising of the flag, the Pledge of Allegiance and a patriotic song by Roy Feeman.
The flag and pole at the location was provided by Woodmen of the World’s local leaders and organization members.
