Women in Brewton and East Brewton will have the opportunity to attend a women’s conference via a live feed from Roanoke, Va., on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Women all across the nation will be able to attend the E(xtraordinary) Women Conference without making a long trip or expensive reservations.
The conference will be broadcast by way of a satellite, which has been installed at First Baptist Church of Brewton.
The conference will consist of four sessions, broken up for refreshment and lunch breaks.
The conference begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m.
Winton said that she wanted to let the public know that this conference is for all women, not just women of First Baptist Church. Reservations are preferred, but tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $3 each.
The four sessions will have featured speakers whose names are recognized.
The first session will feature speaker Stormie Omartian, who is a best selling author who connects with her readers by sharing experiences and lessons that illustrates how God changes lives when we learn to trust in Him, seek His will, and follow Him.
The second session will feature speaker Anita Renfroe, who has been described as “this generation’s Erma Bombeck.”
Renfroe blends her musical comedy with sass, edge and slightly offbeat takes on things.
Session three will feature a concert by Amy Grant and Karen Kingsbury. Amy Grant is well known for her Christian music, and Karen Kingsbury has been called the queen of Christian fiction.
The fourth session will feature Candace Cameron Bure. She is best known as D.J. Tanner on the television series “Full House.” She is now involved with several charity programs such as Make-A-Wish, Starlight Foundation, Children’s Hunger Fund, Sheraton House, and Compassion International. She travels around speaking at various churches, colleges and outreach events, as well as being a columnist for Christian Women Online Magazine.
