Mrs. Doris McFadden, 81, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at a Jay, Fla. hospital. She was a native and lifetime resident of Flomaton where she was owner and operator of Doris’s Café. She was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McFadden.
She is survived by her son, Glenn (Evelyn) McFadden of Brewton; two daughters, Julie (Albert) Padgett of Flomaton, and Rita Gatwood of Brewton; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several other relatives including two special nieces, Carol Brantley and Jeanine Johnson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Freeman officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
