A man with a familiar face is now leading the W.S. Neal High School Blue Eagle football team on the field this year.
Kevin Jordan has been a part of the coaching team with the Eagles since 2005, when he came to East Brewton from Pell City.
When he first came to W.S. Neal, Jordan became the defensive coach for the Eagles and  also worked with the baseball and tennis teams, while at the same time teaching history. His position this year has placed him as head football coach and athletic director for W.S. Neal High School.
Jordan was raised in Tallassee and said he was a typical student.
Jordan graduated from Tallassee High School in 1991 and from Auburn University in 1997 with a degree in secondary social studies in education.
He taught government and economics and coached at Tallassee for three years before moving to McAdory in McCalla, near Birmingham. After about a year he moved to Pell City where he coached and taught economics and history.
Hathcock was not the only person Jordan met at Pell City. That is where he met his wife, Rebecca, who was a fellow teacher. She taught the sixth grade and in 2005, when the couple moved to East Brewton, she became a third-grade teacher at W.S. Neal Elementary School.
