WSN volleyball splits tri-match

In a tri-match Tuesday afternoon in East Brewton, the W.S. Neal Lady Eagle volleyball team split with B.C. Rain and UMS-Wright.
The Lady Eagles defeated B.C. Rain to improve to 5-6 overall, but lost to UMS-Wright to drop their record to 5-7 overall and to 1-2 in area play.
W.S. Neal defeated B.C. Rain 25-14, 25-14, and 25-16 in the first match of the day before losing to UMS-Wright 25-11, 25-10, and 25-9.
Shelly said against UMS-Wright, her team seemed to start each set with confidence, motivation and a hard work ethic. However, the players took themselves out of the game by making mistakes in their play.
Against the Lady Bulldogs of UMS-Wright, W.S. Neal had only six total service points in the three games.

In game one against B.C. Rain, Casey Wilson led with seven service points and three aces.
Sydney Andrews finished with five service points and one ace.
In game two, Wilson and Haley Lum both had four service points with an ace and Megan “Boogum” Pence had four service points in the win.
In game three, Wilson led with six service points and Lum had three. Amanda Crawford had three service points and one ace.
UMS-Wright 3,
W.S. Neal 0
In game one, Andrews and Lum led with two service points each.
In game three, Lum led with one service point in the loss.
