TRM volleyball beats Pleasant Home

On a Thursday night game in Brewton against Pleasant Home, T.R. Miller’s Lady Tiger volleyball team improved to 8-0, the JV fell to 3-4, and the middle school team finished the season with a perfect 6-0 record.

After losing the first game 25-22, Brewton Middle picked up a 25-7 win in game two and an 18-16 win in game three to finish undefeated for the 2009 season.
In game one, Moriah Brundidge had six service points and three kills in the win and in game two, had seven service points to lead the Lady Tigers.
Karisa Nelson and Abbi Roberts had six service points each in the win
In game three, Roberts had seven service points to lead in the win.
Brewton Middle School coach Kim Owens said she was very proud of the girls tonight for playing hard until the very end.

Pleasant Home defeated the Lady Tiger JV team 25-7 and 25-18 to drop the Tigers into the loss column.

T.R. Miller’s varsity Lady Tigers defeated Pleasant Home 25-7 and 25-16 to get the win and improve to 8-1.
With the game one score at 1-1, Janel McCorvey had five straight service points to make it 6-1 Lady Tiger lead.
With T.R. Miller up 7-2, Leah Brundidge had 11 straight service points to put the Lad Tigers up 18-2 and get the win. Natalie Neal had four kills in the win.
In a back-and-forth game two, Pleasant Home held a 13-12 lead over the Lady Tigers before Emily Waters hit six straight service points to make it 18-13.
The visiting team would get it to 15-19, but T.R. Miller hit six of final serves to get the win.
Brundidge and McCorvey had six service points each and McCorvey had five kills in the win.
