Fishing Day to take place at JDCC
The Alabama South Fishers of Men ws preparing for their annula Kids/Senior Citizens Fishing Day to be held Saturday, Oct. 17 at the small pond at JDCC in Brewton.
Children will be allowed to keep five catfish as the day will begin at 7 a.m. and end at noon.
All children ages15 and younger are invited to participate.

TRM quarterback club to have party
The T.R. Miller Quarterback Club will have their annual Membership Appreciation Tailgate Party at 5 p.m. on Oct. 2 prior to the Calhoun game.
This year’s tailgate will also be in honor of the 40th Anniversary of the 1969 State Championship Team. All Quarterback Club members and their families, anyone interested in joining the Quarterback Club, as well as the Members of the 1969 Championship Team and their families are asked to come out and join the fun.
The 1969 program on Saturday will be open to the public on Saturday.
JDCC softball team to hold fundraiser
The Jefferson Davis Community College Softball team will have a  BBQ fundraiser, Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. yo 3 p.m. at the JDCC softball field. A plate will be  $6.
