T.R. Miller cross country teams running hard

Both T.R. Miller High School’s Lady Tiger and Tiger cross country team competed in the Gulf Coast Stampede Saturday in Pensacola, Fla.
The Lady Tigers placed sixth overall out of 31 teams and the boys placed 29th out of 39 teams.
Karisa Nelson placed third overall and first for the Lady Tigers.
Shelby Youngblood placed 18th and Amber Nelson placed 27th.
Katie Nelson placed 70th and Amber Terry finished 125th. Taylor Guthrie finished 147th for the Lady Tigers in the race.
For the boys, Brandon Nelson placed 14th overall and first for T.R. Miller and Matt Ray placed 82nd.
Taylor Terry placed 170th and Caleb Stewart placed 226th.
Carter Ferezel finished in 257th place for the Tigers.
In an earlier race last week, the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers finished in first place out of six teams and the boys finished third out of six.
For the Lady Tigers, Karisa Nelson took first place and Katie Nelson took second.
Youngblood and Amber Nelson made it a straight T.R. Miller top-four finish, as Youngblood took second and Nelson took fourth. Amber Terry finished in 12th place and Abbie Carlson finished in 23rd place.
For the boys, Nelson finished in first place and Ray finished in eighth place.
Terry finished in 15th place followed by Christian Carlson in 18th, Stewart in 26th, Denver Harris in 40th, and Ferezel in 44th place.
