BREAKING NEWS: Escambia County man dies of H1N1 influenza

An Escambia County man in his 40s has died after testing positive for H1N1 influenza, the Alabama Department of Public Health announced Friday.
The ADPH said the man died this week, becoming the 18th death in the state associated with the disease. 
Previous deaths of persons positive for H1N1 influenza have occurred during 2009 to residents of Bullock, Calhoun, Cherokee, Dale, Houston, Jackson, Jefferson, Macon, Madison, Mobile, Montgomery, Russell and Talladega counties.
Health officials are in the process of ordering and receiving the H1N1 vaccine. When the influenza vaccine becomes available, locations, dates and times of clinics will be announced at www.adph.org.
