JDCC beats Snead State

In a five-game thriller Tuesday night at home against Snead State, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team improved to 7-16 with their fourth straight win an 3-2 in conference play.
JDCC lost the first two by scores of 25-17 and 25-23, but rallied to take the next three games to get the win.
JDCC won games three, four, and five by scores of 27-25, 25-19, and 15-11.
Niki Davis led with 11 kills and Kaitlyn Melendez led with 31 attacks.
Lauren Himel had three aces and Sydney Boutwell had 13 digs.
Faulkner State 3, JDCC 0
JDCC’s four game win streak ended Wednesday night at Faulkner State with a 25-22, 25-23, and a 25-17 loss to Faulkner State to fall to 7-17 and 3-3 in conference play.
Antwinique Harris led with eight kills and 22 attacks.
Himel had two aces and Boutwell had 13 digs.

Wallace State Selma 0
The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team picked up their third straight win at home Thursday night with a 3-0 win over Wallace State-Selma.
The win improved JDCC to 6-16 overall and to 3-2 in conference play.
The Lady Warhawks took game one 25-16, game two 25-15, and game three 25-15 to earn the win.
JDCC was led by Antwinique Harris who had 10 kills and along with Niki Davis had 22 attacks.
Kaitlyn Melendez had three service aces and Sydney Boutwell led with seven digs in the win.
JDCC will be back in action on Tuesday at home against Gadsden State at 1 p.m. and will play Gulf Coast Community College later on that night at 6 p.m. as the second game of a double header./
JDCC will travel to Lawson State on Friday for a 6 p.m. before returning home on Tuesday, Oct. 27 for their last home game against Southern Union at 6 p.m. at Warhawk Gym in Brewton.
The Lady Warhawks of Brewton will end their 2009 regular season schedule with an away game at Pensacola Junior College on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. in Pensacola.
