Managing personnel in area businesses may become a little less stressful for area human resource managers, thanks to the Escambia County Society of Human Resource Management group.
Carolyn Sarblah, president of the organization, said the birth of the organization and the conference are both results of a lot of work.
Sarblah said the group is a chartered affiliate of the nationally recognized organization. The mission of the group is to help managers meet goals of their organization.
With 30 in attendance Sarblah said many areas of the business community were represented.
Speakers at the conference included Eddie Mary Daniel Abdulhaqq, Equal Employment Opportunity; Christopher Williams, Federal Contract Compliance Programs; Randy Easterling, Occupational Safety and Health Administration; and Attorney Robert Beeman.
The event was co-hosted by the Greater Brewton Chamber of Commerce, the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, Escambia County Industrial Development Authority, Monroe County Economic Development Authority and Evergreen/Conecuh County Chamber of Commerce.
