Members of the Meadorwood Garden Club are helping  to beautify Brewton and this week residents will have an opportunity to help.
Club member, Mary Shirley, said the group’s tree sale will help bring more green into the city through the planning of the trees.
The sale will be held in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church of Brewton on Belleville Avenue beginning at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 22.
Trees included in the sale will be river birch, bald cypress, flowering dogwood, flowering crabapple, yellow poplar, redbud, swamp chestnut, several varieties of oak including saw tooth oak and nutall oak. Some fruit trees will be included in the sale.
Proceeds of the sale will go back into projects of the group to continue beautification of the city, Shirley said.
