JDCC Lady Warhawk volleyball now 8-19

In a Friday night split at home, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team improved their record to 8-18 overall.
JDCC defeated Baptist College 3-0 in the first game before falling to Gadsden State 3-1 in the second game of the night.
In the win over Baptist College, JDCC swept the first three sets to win 25-8, 25-5, and 25-14 to get the win.
Against Gadsden State, JDCC took the first set 25-18 before losing sets two, three, and four 25-23, 25-23, and 25-14.
Against Baptist College, Kaitlyn Melendez led with five kills and nine attacks and Laney Barr led with four service aces.
Sydney Boutwell led with five digs.
Against Gadsden State, Melendez led with seven kills and 40 attacks, Lauren Himel led with three service aces, and Boutwell led with 18 digs.
JDCC fell to 8-19 overall with a 3-0 loss to Southern Union Saturday.
The Lady Warhawks lost 25-12, 25-16, and 25-7 in the three game sweep.
JDCC was set to take on Gadsden State and Gulf Coast at home in a doubleheader on Tuesday night and will be back in action on Friday at 6 p.m. against Lawson State.
JDCC will end their regular season next week with a Tuesday, Oct. 27 game at home against Southern Union at 6 p.m. and an away game at PJC on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.
