Mrs. Ida Leo Sanks, 76, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009. She was a native of Bay Minette, and a resident of Brewton, before moving to Bay Minette in 1971. She attended the Church of God and was preceded in death by two sisters.
She is survived by three sons, Ricky (Kellie) Gross of Rabun, Ronnie (Jennifer) Gross of Bay Minette, and Roger (Angie) Gross of Calhoun, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Hubert Lee Smith of Mobile, Dudley Smith of Perdido, Larry Smith of Livingston, La., and Arthur Smith of Brewton; two sisters, Faye Blankenship of Pensacola, Fla., and Annie Mae Pugh of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Wenesday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m. at the Lottie Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Welch and Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Lottie Methodist Church with Petty Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ryan Gross, Roger Gross, Willie Sprinkles, Nicholas Hyatt, Shawn Gautney and Donald Brown.
