Mrs. Jessie Mae Lambeth, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 in Century. She was a native of Pollard and a resident of Century for most of her life. She attended Gospel Light Temple Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmar Lambeth; her daughter, Betty Kelly; her brother, Melvin McBride; her sister, Bernice Crapps; and a grandson, Donnie McLean.
She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Sutton and Jackey Sutton, both of Pollard; two daughters, Kathy (Elery) Tedder of Century, Fla., and Mary Lambeth of Pollard; a brother, Bill (Audrey) McBride of Athens, Texas; three sisters, Alice Pope and Jewel (Ray) Adams, both of Flomaton, and Verla Countryman of Palestine, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with the Rev. James Gay officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Jeffrey Lambeth, Jonathan Watson, Daniel McBride, Joshua Sutton, Melvin McBride Jr. and James Pope Jr.
