Mrs. Martha Lane Forbes, 95, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in a local nursing facility. She was a native of Castleberry and a resident of Brewton for many years. She was an active member of Second St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two children, Annetta Reed of Brewton, and Frankie Mallard of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Leslye (Randy) Henderson of Houston, Christopher Autrey and Elizabeth Reed, both of Brewton; and Brandi Mallard of Atlanta, Ga.; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
