JDCC drops two

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team dropped two games recently to suffer their fourth straight loss and fall to 1-5 overall.
JDCC lost to Mississippi Gulf Coast 97-75 to fall to 1-4 with their third straight loss and fell 75-61 to Northwest Mississippi to fall to 1-5 with their fourth straight loss.
In both games, the games were tied at halftime only to see JDCC be outscored by 22 points and 14 points to lose.
JDCC will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at home against Marion Military at 7 p.m.
MS Gulf Coast 97, JDCC 75
With the game tied at 36-36 at the half, JDCC was outscored 61-39 in the second half to lose by 22.
Justin Burroughs led with 20 points and two blocks and Kentrail Brown had 15 points in the loss.
Damien Jackson followed with nine points and Logan Campbell had eight points and seven rebounds.
Brandon McCloud had seven points and Jayme Goddin added five points.
Marquis Williams added four points and had seven steals and six assists to lead the Warhawks.
Tramaine Elliott also had four points and Dennis Miller had three points in the loss.
NW Mississippi 75, JDCC 61
Just like in the earlier game, JDCC was tied at the half at 30-30 before falling 45-31 in the second half to lost by 14 points.
Burroughs led the Warhawks with 29 points, three steals, and eight rebounds.
Brown followed with 11 points and Jackson had 10 points.
Campbell had four points along with Miller and Goddin had two points.
McCloud had one point and Elliott led with one block.
Williams had two assists and three steals.
