Mrs. Marilyn Taylor Peebles, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, in a Foley medical facility after a brief illness. She was a native and life-long resident of East Brewton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of East Brewton, and a bookkeeper with Hines Realty Company with more than 40 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Peebles.
She is survived by a son, Jerry (Oma) Peebles of Gulf Shores; a brother, David (Ruth) Taylor of Atmore; a sister, Helen (Don) Campbell of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren, David Peebles, Jessica Thompson, James Peebles and Daniel Peebles; two great-grandchildren, Noah Thompson and Lily Peebles; and five nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, from noon until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in East Brewton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of East Brewton, with the Rev. Larry Watts, the Rev. David Taylor, and the Rev. Jerry Peebles officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
